Congratulations to Dr. Carlos Machado on His New Appointment!

We are thrilled to share some exciting news from our lab!

Dr. Carlos Machado has been named Associate Dean for Research in the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences (CMNS) at the University of Maryland.

This new leadership role recognizes Carlos’s outstanding contributions to evolutionary genetics, genomics, and his long-standing commitment to mentoring and collaboration. As Associate Dean for Research, he will help shape the college’s research initiatives, foster interdisciplinary connections, and support faculty and student success across CMNS.
